Admissions to academies are determined by each individual academy.

Each academy has an admission number which is based on the size of the academy building. If the number of pupils requiring places at that academy exceeds the admission number then not everybody will be successful in obtaining a place there. This is what we mean when an academy is said to be 'oversubscribed'.

If the academy is oversubscribed a published set of criteria will be used to decide which children will be given places. These are set by each individual academy and are downloadable below.
