Salford GCSE students can be proud of their achievements says council

GCSE students in Salford have been hailed by Salford City Council on their results day for their commitment to studying during the pandemic.

Councillor Teresa Pepper, Executive Support Member for Education and Learning, said: “We are very proud of all of our students and schools for their resilience and ability to adapt during the pandemic. The encouragement and commitment of teachers, schools, parents and carers has been a great support to young people. It is testament to the young people’s characters, hard work and effort that they have achieved their GCSEs in such difficult times. We wish them every success in the future.”

Any young people who haven’t achieved the results they hoped for, can get advice on their next steps from:
