Paul Dennett secured 30,753 votes on Saturday 4 May to be elected as Salford City Mayor for a four-year term of office (May 2024 - May 2028).
Now he has announced his new top team to deliver on priorities for the city.
Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett said: “I am honoured that the people of Salford have put their trust in me as City Mayor of Salford for a third term. Being elected Mayor of this great city is the most rewarding experience of my life. Representing every resident in Salford is a privilege, one that I will never take for granted.
“I would like to welcome new councillors from across the political spectrum who were fortunate enough to be elected in May, and congratulate those returning to office.
“I have always passionately believed in the importance of local government. Local councillors play a vital role in championing their communities, ensuring residents’ voices are heard and put right at the heart of the City Council’s decision making. I am sure that no matter what party they represent, all councillors both new and returning, will do their upmost to serve and represent their constituents and the City of Salford.
“I, and the rest of Salford Labour Group, were elected on a clear platform of delivering a greener, healthier, more prosperous Salford. With exciting and ambitious proposals for the next term, such as building 600 more council homes, making further progress with taking back control of social care, planting thousands of trees and continuing our important work tackling the climate crisis, while also committing to delivering a rugby strategy and becoming a Child Friendly City.
"I'm genuinely excited about our ambitious manifesto and I'm looking forward to working with members and officers from across the Council, our vibrant voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, businesses and partners across our city to deliver on Salford Labour's commitments and to Get Things Done: The Salford Way.
"I am pleased to announce my revamped Mayoral Team, who will lead on delivering these commitments for our city:"
