School governors

All the schools in Salford have governing bodies that work, behind the scenes, to make sure that their school is providing the best possible education for the children it serves. They work closely with the headteacher and staff and share with them their vision for the school.
Governor Services in Salford provides a high quality support service and training to school governing bodies to enable them to carry out their responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner and in compliance with the current statutory requirements. Access to services is easy and responses to queries are always dealt with quickly. Alongside unlimited access to the governor services helpline we provide up-to-date professional advice on a wide and complex range of matters, statutory and non-statutory, that affect governing bodies. We also keep governors up to date with the latest legislation on governors' roles and responsibilities.
Salford Governor Services provides support and advice to assist all governors in their role. We provide a clerking service to schools, a comprehensive programme of training for governors and a telephone helpline service.
