Salary: Up to £37,874

Location: Salford

As part of our Neighbourhoods team, you’ll provide an effective service across a defined neighbourhood, developing and improving those services. You’ll deal with all aspects of letting properties, assist with community initiatives, develop local communications, and ensure any issues which arise in the neighbourhood are resolved.

The role - What you’ll be doing

  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and delivery of strategic plans
  • Developing and strengthening local partnerships and fostering positive relationships with key local contacts including neighbourhood management structures
  • Ensuring services are positively focussed on customers, and neighbourhoods
  • Occasionally attending Local Area Panels and attending other residents’ meetings
  • Working with partner agencies and other stakeholders to develop an understanding and awareness of the community, and delivering coherent, customer-focussed solutions
  • Providing customers with general advice, assistance, and support, in line with policies
  • Consistently meet and exceeding performance targets and keeping full, accurate records
  • Working effectively with other departments to ensure services are delivered seamlessly
  • Undertaking a wide range of duties associated with tackling neighbourhood issues effectively

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Passion, empathy, and reliability
  • Experience working within social housing would be ideal
  • Access to your own vehicle for work purposes
  • Experience of working in social housing
  • Experience of writing and presenting reports
  • Demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to consistently achieve targets and deliver excellent customer service
  • Ability to respond effectively to queries and problem solving
