Crisis and Resilience Fund

We can help if you are facing a sudden financial crisis or emergency situation. The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) offers help with essential needs, help with housing costs, advice on how to improve your finances and connections to local support services.

This support is funded by the UK Government and delivered by Salford City Council. This runs from Wednesday 1 April 2026 to Saturday 31 March 2029 and has replaced the Household Support Fund (HSF) and Discretionary Housing Payments.

Who this support is for

  • Salford residents who are facing a financial crisis, financial shock or emergency; and

  • cannot afford essential living costs
