Please use our online form to arrange a replacement. Unfortunately we no longer have the resources to replace black bins for free so there is a £29.25 charge for all new standard sized black bins.

Before applying you should have taken steps to reduce, re-use, recycle and compost your waste using the services and facilities provided by the council and other organisations.
By doing the above you should release more storage capacity in the standard sized wheeled bin provided. However, if you consider that you have a need for additional capacity and meet the criteria below, please complete the application form.
We’ll arrange a visit from a waste awareness officer to your home to assess your eligibility. There is a charge of £59.33 for a large black bin. This charge will not be required until we have assessed your eligibility.
If you don’t meet the criteria for a larger black bin because of the number of people living in your home, but you have a medical condition that increases the amount of waste you produce, we can arrange a visit from a waste awareness officer to see how we can support you.

If you'd like to exchange your standard size (240 litres) blue or brown bin for a smaller one (140 litres), you can do this online.

If you need a recycling bin, reusable bags or an indoor kitchen caddy (including compostable liners) you can order them free of charge online.
Get a recycling bin, box, caddy or sack
Simply tie an empty liner to the lid of your pink lidded bin or outdoor food bin and place out for collection as normal. We'll then deliver some more liners for free.
