Notice of intention to appropriate land

Local Government Act 1972 Section 122
Town And Country Planning Act 1990 Section 227

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Sections 122(1) and 122(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Salford City Council intends to appropriate to planning purposes the following areas of land that may currently be used as public open space to facilitate the development of the land.

• Land at Brassington Avenue, Salford M5 3JX, land comprises 3,100 sqm.
• Land at Ryall Avenue, South/Knowsley Avenue, Salford M5 3HX, land comprises 4,560 sqm.
• Land at The Green, Clifton, Swinton M27 8QL, land comprises 7,500 sqm.

Copies of the plans showing the approximate position of the above affected areas of land may be inspected below or free of charge during normal working hours at Salford Civic Centre, Swinton, Manchester M27 5AW.

Due to Covid the council offices may be closed but notices and plans relating to this matter will be displayed at Unity House Swinton, Manchester M27 5FJ.

Objections to the intended appropriation must be sent to in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk to be received no later than 7 January 2021. Please quote reference L/AF/OUT1085/3501
