The Government’s Energy Bill Relief Scheme for businesses, will reduce gas and electricity prices for six months from Saturday 1 October 2022, with support extended thereafter for ‘vulnerable sectors’, as well as planned investment into the UK’s energy market and the renewable technology sector. This scheme, together with the Chancellor’s other announcements such as scrapping the planned rise in corporation tax, are intended to address the current cost of doing business and boost economic growth.
