Reporting a hate crime

From February 2026 there will be community-based Hate Crime Reporting Ambassadors available across Salford. These ambassadors will offer a safe space to report incidents, discuss concerns, and access support.

Anonymously reporting a hate crime

You can report any form of hate crime anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or by contacting the police via their non-emergency number on 101.

Online reporting

For online reporting, you can use True Vision, a national website set up by the government to help individuals report hate crime. Submissions are forwarded to the victim's local police force for appropriate action.
