Sign in or register for an accountWe are the leading provider of dementia support services in Salford, offering bespoke care and support to individuals, families and carers living with dementia. We offer a range of services, including dementia day care opportunities, carer support and social groups.
Dementia support and other contracted services delivered by Aspire for Intelligent Care and Support CIC returned to Salford City Council on 1 April 2026.
We can guide you through the first steps following a dementia diagnosis, including helping you to understand what dementia support is available in the Salford area and offering guidance on the practical steps you can take to make life with dementia a little easier, and be a listening ear for when you need it most.
We understand the impact that dementia can also have on those other than the person diagnosed. Caring for someone with dementia can feel lonely and isolating at times, especially if you have other family members who also need help and support or other commitments too, and we are here to help you with practical and emotional support at every stage.
The centre is based at the Humphrey Booth Resource Centre in Swinton. It is a specially designed safe and friendly space that focuses on person-centred care for people with moderate to advanced dementia.
We understand that every person is an individual with different likes and needs, which is why we tailor your care and support to meet your individual requirements. Our highly trained health and social care team supports people with dementia with various activities to meet their needs and interests in a welcoming and safe environment.
Activities might include crafts, quizzes, music, reminiscence, gardening, community activities, games, and discussions. There is a spacious dining area for mealtimes, and our lounge facilities and enclosed garden provide comfortable and pleasant surroundings for relaxation.
To complement our day opportunities, we also offer therapeutic services and personal care, with a fully accessible bathroom with bathing facilities, an onsite salon room, relaxation sessions and wellbeing activities to ensure you always look and feel your best.

We are open Monday to Friday. We also offer shorter visits on an adhoc basis if a full day service isn’t required – this is ideal for those times when you may need additional support for someone, perhaps whilst you need to attend an appointment alone or for a short period of respite.

We can also signpost you to other local day service opportunities.
Most day services provide support for people who Adult Social Care have assessed as needing care and support. Please speak to your social worker or contact us to find out what options are available to you.
Some day services accept 'social members' and you can contact these directly. There are also community cafes and some church centres which also offer day services.
You will usually have to pay something towards the cost of any service that you use. If Adult Social Care has assessed that you need care and support in the community, you can read paying for care and support in the community.
