Learning disability services and support

We are the leading provider of learning disability services in Salford, and we offer a range of support to help you live life, better. Our day services are based at our Community Hubs, where you will also find community cafes and activities for you to connect with others and pursue your interests.

Contracted services delivered by Aspire for Intelligent Care and Support CIC returned to Salford City Council on 1 April 2026

We understand that every person is different, and we pride ourselves on being able to offer you choice, helping you to live your life, your way. With a focus on personal development, promoting independence, and improving wellbeing, we help you to gain skills for life and offer activities ranging from arts and crafts, singing, baking, drama, music appreciation, communication, sporting activities, and much more.

We support people with learning disabilities to enjoy half or full days with us and also to pursue a range of volunteering, leisure, and social opportunities in the community that suits their hobbies and interests.

We also offer supported living in Salford and the wider area, allowing you to live as independently as possible whilst receiving support and assistance from our dedicated workforce, and provide respite care for those looking to enjoy a short break, whilst allowing carers or family members to take time for themselves too.

We can also signpost you to other local day service opportunities.

How to use a day service?

Most day services provide support for people who Adult Social Care have assessed as needing care and support. Please speak to your social worker or contact us to find out what options are available to you.

Some day services accept 'social members' and you can contact these directly. There are also community cafes and some church centres which also offer day services.

Do day services cost?

You will usually have to pay something towards the cost of any service that you use. If Adult Social Care has assessed that you need care and support in the community, you can read paying for care and support in the community.
