Domestic abuse: Keeping you safe in your home

You may be being abused or hurt by your partner, adult child, your in-laws, parents or someone else, but want to continue living in your current home. We can help.

What is the Salford Sanctuary Scheme?

The Salford Sanctuary Scheme is a project for people who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic abuse and who want to continue living in their home, but who need some help to stay safe there.

The scheme helps people to stay in their home and feel safer by adding security measures (devices) to their property.

The security measures the scheme can add to your home including:

  • locks on windows and doors
  • window grilles
  • gates
  • anti-arson letterboxes
  • panic alarms
