Selective Licensing in Langworthy, Weaste and Seedley

The selective licensing scheme in the Langworthy, Weaste and Seedley area ended on 20 November 2024. This means your selective licence has ended. 

A performance review will be undertaken of the Selective licensing scheme that ran from 20 November 2019 until 20 November 2024 to assess the impact in the local area.  

Please note: If your property is operating as a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) (Generally a HMO will be a property occupied by more than one household and more than two people, and may include bedsits, shared houses and some self contained flats) after 20 November 2024, you will be required to obtain an HMO Licence.

We encourage to make your application in good time, as it will be an offence to operate an HMO without a licence once your Selective Licence expires. You can find the online HMO application here. 

If you are looking at creating a new an HMO, will bring your attention to the Article 4 area and the requirements for planning permission.
