The prevention of crime and disorder |
The premises will be carefully managed at all times to ensure a safe, well-regulated environment. Staff will be on-site during all operational hours, and events open to the public will be overseen by SIA-licensed security personnel. We already have CCTV installed throughout all publicly accessible areas of the venue, with footage securely stored for a minimum of 30 days and available to the relevant authorities upon request. A zero tolerance approach will be adopted toward drug use and anti social behaviour. We are committed to working closely with Greater Manchester Police and Salford City Council to address and respond promptly to any concerns that may arise. CCTV coverage shall be provided in the form of a recordable system, capable of providing pictures of evidential quality in all lighting conditions particularly facial recognition. Cameras shall encompass all ingress and egress to the premises and all areas where the sale of alcohol occurs. The system shall record in real time and operate whilst the premises are open for licensable activities. The recordings shall be kept available for a minimum period of 28 days and handed to Police or Local Authority Officer on request. The Recording equipment shall be kept in a secure environment under the control of the Premises Licence Holder or other responsible named individual. Appropriate signage representative of the above shall be displayed in conspicuous positions. There will be sufficient members of trained staff available to be able to download evidence with the minimum of delay at the request of the Police or Local Authority approved Officer Staffing levels maintained appropriately to ensure adequate security. Public safety |
The venue has been carefully designed to operate within safe parameters, with a maximum capacity of 60 people, in line with guidance from Salford Council. We ensure the space remains clear, navigable, and safe at all times, with prominent signage and unobstructed fire exits. All necessary facilities, including recently upgraded toilets and bar infrastructure, have been developed in line with health and safety requirements while maintaining the functional layout of the studio. The premises will be staffed appropriately, with trained personnel on hand to monitor crowd flow and respond to emergencies. All safety procedures, including fire risk assessments and access to first aid, will be reviewed regularly. Appropriate fire fighting equipment will be installed and maintained at the premises and staff trained in its use. The means of escape provided for the premises shall be maintained unobstructed, free of trip hazards, be immediately available and clearly identified in accordance with the plans provided. The approved arrangements at the premises, including means of escape provisions, emergency warning equipment, the electrical installation and mechanical equipment, shall at all material times be maintained in good condition and full working order. |
The prevention of public nuisance |
All music and licensable activities will take place indoors, and we are committed to ensuring the premises does not cause disturbance to nearby residents within the industrial estate. The studio is contained, and we will ensure music levels are kept within appropriate and respectful limits. Live music will end by 23:30 on standard operating days, with the venue closing by midnight. On limited occasions (such as Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Years Eve) we may seek to extend hours until 03:00, but this will only occur a few times per year. Customers will be encouraged to leave the premises quietly and respectfully, with signage and staff reminders used to reduce noise outside the venue. We are committed to ongoing communication with local stakeholders and residents to ensure we address any concerns proactively. The premises and public areas nearby are kept free from litter associated with the operation of the business. Notices will be appropriately displayed asking customers to be considerate of neighbours when they leave the premises. No external speakers shall operate at any time. Arrangements will be put in place to supervise an orderly dispersal of visitors when leaving the property to ensure the minimum of noise and disturbance to local residents. Any noise, vibrations, smells, light pollution and any other potential nuisance is monitored and kept to an acceptable level. |
The protection of children from harm |
The premises will enforce a strict Challenge 25 policy at all times. No alcohol will be served to anyone under the age of 18, and valid ID will be required for anyone who appears under 25. During licensable hours, children under 18 will only be permitted on site when accompanied by a responsible adult, and only during appropriate, studio-based daytime sessions. Evening and bar-focused events will be restricted to those aged 18 and over. All staff will receive safeguarding training, and any concerns about the welfare of children or vulnerable persons will be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. We are fully committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and responsible environment for all users of the premises. There will be a display of notices relating to the policy within the premises. These notices will indicate that any customer not appearing to have reached the age of 25 will be required to produce appropriate identification proving that they have turned 18 before being served. Appropriate ID will be a passport, photo driving licence, PASS accredited proof of age card or other reliable photo-ID that is recommended and approved for acceptance by the police or other authorities. Staff shall be trained in aspects of responsible alcohol retailing and in particular the Protection of Children including the Challenge 25 policy. Comprehensive training for staff in the main requirements of the Licensing Act 2003, the specific measures and conditions in place to promote the Licensing Objectives and the staff roles and responsibilities. Such records shall be available for inspection by the responsible authorities. |
