Please provide more details about the late night refreshments

Late Night Refreshment covers the supply of hot food to the public between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM. For Bun Mafia, this involves serving hot takeaway meals, burgers, wraps, and cold drinks for direct collection or home delivery during these late hours. All food will be prepared in our secure ground floor commercial kitchen and handed to customers or delivery drivers via the main service counter.

The prevention of crime and disorder

High-definition CCTV will operate 24 hours a day inside and outside the premises, covering the entrance, customer waiting area, and service counter. Recordings will be kept for at least 31 days and made available to Greater Manchester Police upon request.

Prominent notices will be displayed informing customers that CCTV is in operation.

Staff will be trained to manage customer queues, handle difficult situations, and refuse service to anyone who is aggressive or intoxicated.

Clear sightlines will be maintained from behind the counter to the front of the shop so staff can monitor the customer area at all times.

Sufficient lighting will be maintained at the front entrance and service counter during all operating hours.

A incident logbook will be kept on site to record any refusals of service, violent or disorderly behaviour, or visits by the police.

Public safety

The premises will strictly comply with all relevant fire safety and health and safety regulations, with clear emergency exits kept unobstructed at all times.

Fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting, will be regularly inspected and maintained.

Maintained electrical, gas, and extraction canopy systems will be certified annually by competent engineers.

High standards of food hygiene will be maintained, with clear allergen information available and staff trained in safe food handling procedures.

The customer waiting area and shop entrance will be well lit, clean, and kept dry to prevent slips, trips, and falls.

A first aid box will be fully stocked and kept on site, with trained staff available during operating hours.

The prevention of public nuisance

Prominent and legible notices will be displayed at the exit asking customers to respect local residents and leave the area quietly.

Staff will regularly monitor the immediate outside area of the premises and clear any litter generated by the business.

Commercial waste bins will be kept in the secure rear yard, and rubbish will only be moved outside during normal daytime hours to prevent noise late at night.

The commercial kitchen extraction canopy system will be regularly cleaned and maintained to prevent smoke, odours, and excessive noise from disturbing nearby neighbours.

Delivery drivers will be instructed to turn off vehicle engines while waiting, park legally without blocking driveways, and conduct themselves quietly.

Music will not be played on the premises at a volume that can be heard outside or by neighboring properties.

The protection of children from harm

Children under the age of 14 will not be permitted on the premises after 11:00 PM unless accompanied by a responsible adult.

Staff will be trained to identify and report any signs of child exploitation, vulnerability, or unsafe situations to local authorities or the police.

All sharp kitchen equipment, hot surfaces, and cleaning chemicals will be kept securely behind the counter and strictly inaccessible to the public.

The premises will not display or host any age-restricted materials, gambling machines, or adult-themed advertising.
