This variation application is for approval of revised premises licence plans reflecting proposed changes to the designated areas licenced for the provision of gambling and non-gambling facilities across the ground floor of the premises. This application is made following the reforms the following reforms to the Gambling Act 2005 which came into effect from 22nd July 2025: The Gambling Act 2005 (Gaming Tables in Casinos) (Definitions)(Amendment) Regulations 2025 The Casinos (Gaming Machines and Mandatory Conditions) Regulations 2025 The Gambling Act 2005 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional Provisions) (Amendment) Order 2025 In accordance with these provisions Genting Casinos UK Limited (“Genting”) proposes to operate this casino as an extended Converted Casino Premises with “extended gaming machine entitlement” being the entitlement of the licensee to make gaming machines available for use in accordance with Paragraph 65(6) (a) of Schedule 4 to the Gambling Act 2005 (Commencement No.6 and Transitional Provisions) order 2006 as amended (by the above regulations) and betting (when the licensee holds the appropriate operating licence) following the commencement of the new regulations from 22nd July 2025. This application satisfies the requirements of the revised legislation as follows:
