The prevention of crime and disorder

The clubhouse is generally used by club members and it is rarely open to the wider public; therefore there is not much concern about crime and disorder as such.

We have a policy whereby alcohol can be taken off service if trouble is suspected to arise. Alcohol will not be served to anyone who appears drunk or is buying for someone who is drunk. The clubhouse also has a strict drug free policy and anyone found consuming drugs on the premises will be asked to leave and will be banned from entering indefinitely.

We have a glass-free policy for anyone taking drinks outside of the main bar and function room, plastic containers will be provided to anyone consuming their drinks outside. The premises has HD CCTV in operation covering all areas where licensable activity will take place. There is also CCTV facing the main entrance so we can clearly identify anyone entering the premises. CCTV can be accessed in-house and remotely with a back-up of 28 days available.

Public safety

We have a limit on the number of people that can be within the clubhouse bar and function room at any one time, maximum occupancy of 80. This ensure that the space is not too overcrowded and people can exit the premises quickly in the case of an emergency. The outside seating area is quite open with seating for approximately 100 people, we aim to limit the maximum occupancy to this number. We have a fire evacuation plan in place and fire extinguishers throughout the premises. Staff will also be fully first aid trained in case of any minor accidents. For any major accidents, assistance will be provided to get the person the appropriate treatment.

The prevention of public nuisance

We have signage up throughout the premises advising people of the club closing times and subsequent last orders time.

These signs clearly state the time the property is closing and advises people to make arrangements to vacate the premises prior to the closing time. There is also signage asking people to consider our neighbours and keep noise and disruption to a minimum when leaving the premises. The volume of any music played will be controlled by the bar staff so that noise does not cause nuisance.

The protection of children from harm

The premises operates a challenge 25 policy, therefore anyone who appears to be under the age of 25 will be asked to provide photo identification to confirm they are over the age of 18 when attempting to purchase alcohol.

All bar staff are trained on what to look for when checking identification and when to refuse identification if they are not satisfied the person is over the age of 18.
