General - all four licensing objectives

An adequate number of trained and competent staff will be present at all times across all licensed areas.

A designated premises supervisor and management team will oversee compliance with licence conditions.

All staff will receive regular refresher training on licensing law, safety procedures, and customer management.

Regular reviews of operating procedures will be undertaken to ensure continued compliance and good practice.

The prevention of crime and disorder

An adequate number of suitably trained staff will be on duty at all times within areas where licensable activities are taking place.

Staff will remain in regular communication via two-way radios to ensure effective supervision across all licensed areas.

For larger events, stewards will be engaged to manage access and prevent crime and disorder.

Alcohol sales and consumption within the outdoor community barn will be monitored and controlled by staff at all times, alcohol will only be sold in the barn during events.

A comprehensive CCTV system will be maintained covering the hall, and surrounding grounds, with recordings retained and made available to authorised officers upon request. 

Public safety

A fire risk assessment and safety management plan will be updated to include the outdoor community barn.

All fire exits, escape routes, and emergency access points will be clearly marked and kept unobstructed.

Maximum occupancy limits will be established and enforced for the hall and the outdoor barn.

The outdoor barn structure will comply with relevant building, health and safety, and fire safety regulations.

Adequate lighting will be provided in all licensed areas, including external spaces, to ensure safe movement after dark.

Staff will be trained in emergency procedures and evacuation plans covering all licensed areas. 

The prevention of public nuisance

Use of the outdoor community barn for the consumption and sale of alcohol will be restricted to agreed licensed hours.

Noise levels from activities in the outdoor barn will be monitored and managed in line with existing permitted levels.

Amplified music in the outdoor barn will be limited and controlled to prevent disturbance to nearby residents.

Clear signage will be displayed requesting customers to respect neighbours and leave quietly. 

Bottle disposal and waste collection will only take place at appropriate times to minimise disturbance.

Smoking and drinking areas will be managed to prevent noise accumulation and loitering. 

The protection of children from harm

Children using the premises and outdoor barn will be supervised at all times during licensed activities.

Age restrictions will be applied to certain events where appropriate.

A Challenge 25 policy will operate for alcohol sales.

All staff involved in alcohol sales will be trained in age verification and safeguarding procedures.

The outdoor barn will be monitored to prevent unsupervised access by children during licensed events.
