The assessment helps us to identify any potential gaps in pharmaceutical service delivery. For example, NHS England will use the PNA to help decide whether to approve applications for new pharmacies in Salford.
The latest PNA documents were updated on 1 October 2025 and are available to download below. In addition, supplementary statements to support the PNA will also be published by the council if pharmacy provision or the population's health needs change.
