Commemorative plaques

Salford has a number of existing commemorative plaques around the city to commemorate and celebrate notable aspects of Salford's heritage, including buildings, people and events. These help to connect residents, communities and visitors to the city's past, to foster pride and a sense of place and identity and to help ensure the custodianship of Salford's heritage.

Is there a person or event you would like to commemorate?

To ensure the quality, consistency and transparency of the scheme, we apply a set of criteria to all new nominations. Please read these carefully before you apply.

Application process for plaques

If you are interested in applying, please make sure you look at the guidelines and criteria for the scheme before completing your nomination form.
