Salford Local Plan Core Strategy and Allocations Document – evidence

Local plans are examined to assess whether they have been prepared in accordance with legal and procedural requirements, and whether they are sound. A key test of soundness is whether plans are justified, including an appropriate strategy, taking into account the reasonable alternatives, and based on proportionate evidence.

Travelling showperson accommodation assessment 2026 update (June 2026)

This report updates the findings of the previous 2018 Greater Manchester Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showperson Accommodation Assessment (GTAA), specifically in relation to travelling showperson plot needs in Salford.

Salford Level 2 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (May 2026)

This assessment considers flood risk associated with four of the proposed allocations in the Salford Local Plan: Core Strategy and Allocations, following identification by the council as the Lead Local Flood Authority as having areas of high surface water flood risk.
