The hot food takeaways supplementary planning document (SPD) provides additional guidance to assess and determine planning applications.
It is intended to guide prospective takeaway owners and their agents to encourage the submission of good quality planning applications.
The hot food takeaways SPD was originally adopted in July 2007 but has been updated to reflect the national planning policy framework, government advice and other changes to legislation that have occurred since the document was first adopted. Appeal decisions in Salford have also necessitated revisions to the SPD. This updated hot food takeaways SPD was adopted by Salford City Council on 20 January 2014.
