School meals from Citywide

Citywide is the council's catering service. They provide school meals to most of Salford's schools.

Eating well is important for children's health. A balanced lunch will help a child concentrate better during lessons.

Citywide only use high quality ingredients. They carefully select suppliers and use British sourced products and free range eggs. They also offer salad bars.

Menus are constantly updated and the food is freshly prepared, following catering guidelines.

Each school meal costs £2.10 for primary schools and £2.20 for secondary schools. All children in reception, year one and year two are entitled to a free school meal.

If you'd like to discuss meals served in your child's school, contact Citywide on 0161 925 1122.

If your child has any special dietary requirements, please contact your school in the first instance who will arrange a meeting with Citywide.

Please see our downloadable documents for a sample menu which is used in the majority of our primary schools. Please contact your school's reception for any further information.
