1Staffing Arrangements

Since the last meeting of the committee Rebecca Threlfall has been appointed Neighbourhood Manager for Swinton

3Management of the Meeting

So as to make sure that sufficient time is allowed for all items to be discussed Members are asked to indicate , by show of hands , if they wish to raise any items of additional business towards the end of the meeting .
4Crime and Disorder Issues and Neighbourhood Policing

On this occasion the standing item on Policing Issues has been replaced to enable Ch Supt Mulligan to make a 20 minute presentation Neighbourhood Policing and the review of the Community Sector Team.
5CCTV Strategy

Graham Smith, Community Safety Officer, will report on this subject. The Committee will be asked to consider a proposal for a grant of £12,877.50 to be made available to cover the cost of installing, connecting and maintaining for the first year a CCTV camera and column near to the Late Shop on Bolton Road where there has recently been an armed robbery.

8Coalfields Communities Campaign

Claire Tomkinson, Senior Community Link Officer,will submit a programme completion report. This will be the final regular report on the Campaign

9Newlands/LIVIA Projects

Lee Dudley of the Forestry Commission, will give an update so as to assist the Committee in monitoring progress on these projects .
10Arts Development Service

Kate Charnock, Principal Officer Arts Development, will give an update on the activities of the Arts Development Service since the February meeting of the Committee.

11Primary Care First - A Consultation

The Salford Primary Care Trust are seeking comments on the proposals for changes to the future delivery of their services as set out in the enclosed consultation document. A presentation will not be made on this subject but any comments from the Committee will be passed onto the PCT.

(b)Enclosed are details of the planning application for a Hotel, Conferencing and Leisure facility at the former Buile Hill Mansion and adjoining land along with advice on how to submit comments .Elected Members are reminded that the Code of Conduct requires that , so as to preserve their roles as impartial decision makers in any planning application which may be submitted, they should not take part in any discussion on this matter
