Salford City Council comprises 20 electoral wards with three councillors representing each ward.

About the count

The count for the local elections (one councillor for each of the 20 wards except for Cadishead and Lower Irlam where there is another vacancy, so 21 councillors will be elected) took place overnight on Thursday 7 May 2026 at the Salford Community Stadium.
