Effective Assessment Practice in Reception and preparing for EYFSP

Course description:

This course will support Reception practitioners in developing their formative assessment practice to impact on quality throughout the Reception year. References will be made to relevant evidence-informed documentation including: Strong foundations in the first years of school, The Reading Framework and The Writing Framework, alongside the DfE Early years foundation stage profile assessment support materials. It will also consider the role EYFSP within this process.

Outcomes:

Help Reception teachers make confident, consistent EYFSP judgements, look at the best-fit model, and strengthen professional dialogue.
