Delivered by:

Starting Life Well

Audience:

Leaders and managers

Course description:

Join us for our Leaders and Managers Network Meeting—an informal, supportive space where you can connect with others, share experiences, and explore what makes great leadership in early years settings. Each session will focus on a different theme to help you grow confidence, strengthen your practice, and develop your setting in meaningful ways.

This session is all about your nursery community — the people, places, and partnerships that help your setting thrive. Together, we’ll chat, reflect, and gather ideas that you can take back and use straight away.

Outcomes:

  • Reflect on how your setting currently connects with and contributes to your local nursery community
  • Talk about why building strong relationships with local groups, organisations, and community partners makes such a difference
  • Share simple, practical ways to promote recycling and encourage sustainable habits in everyday practice
  • Explore community led approaches and how settings can work collaboratively with families and local partners
  • Develop strategies to help children understand how to care for their world in fun, meaningful ways
  • Look at how we can raise environmental awareness among staff, children, and families through purposeful activities and role-modelling
  • Think about how to measure the impact of your community and environmental initiatives on your setting’s overall quality
