Mindfulness in the Early Years

Course description:

It is well understood that using mindfulness skills has many benefits for all areas of learning and social and emotional development. We would like to offer early years professionals, working in nursery and school settings in Salford, the opportunity to develop their understanding and practice in using daily mindfulness activities.

Three whole staff training sessions, to support staff to use daily mindfulness in their setting with two to four year olds.

Each one-hour session will focus on a different mindful action and include the development of a personalised action plan:

  1. Breath work
  2. Guided imagery
  3. Mindful movement

Sessions will take place virtually on Microsoft Teams.

Participants will need to attend all three sessions.

There will also be a check-in with the Educational Psychology Service between training sessions to support the delivery of the program.
