Observation and Tracking for Children with SEND

Course description:

This course aims to help practitioners working in the EYFS to explore ways to celebrate and demonstrate the progress of children with SEND and to become familiar with the Pen Green/DfE toolkit for observing and tracking progress for children with SEND.

Outcomes:

Practitioners will have the opportunity to:

• examine key principles that underpin assessment for children with SEND in the EYFS
• explore some approaches to observation, assessment and planning for children with SEND with a focus on the Pen Green toolkit
• Identify what next for own practice.
