Reception EYFSP Cluster Meeting

Reception teachers and Classroom assistants

Course description:

To provide an opportunity for Reception practitioners to discuss Early Learning Goals (ELGs) before making final assessment decisions for the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) Delegates will take part in professional discussions with other Reception teachers, be encouraged to ask questions, share good practice and network across schools.

The course will include:

• Discussion on classroom interactions
• Formative assessment
• Child initiated and focused teaching
• Discussing ELGs and sharing good practice

Please come prepared to talk about three of your children. If you wish to bring any resources, for example floor books, planning, photos etc as an aide memoire to share good practice with others, please feel free to do so.

Outcomes:

• Better understanding of the ELGS and EYFSP

Course length:

• 12.30pm for lunch/ tea and coffee (provided)
• 1pm start
• 4pm finish

Tea and coffee will also be served part way through the morning
