Course description:

Think Equal is a global movement who believe that long term action needs to be taken to tackle rising violence, crime, mental health disorders and social fracture. 

The Think Equal programme uses beautiful purposely written story books and activities to shape our children's thinking and positive life outcomes during their brain-building years. It supports social and emotional learning, psychosocial support, wellbeing and positive life outcomes. 

Outcomes:

• This course will outline the Think Equal programme and the principles behind it
• It will equip Childminders with the knowledge and skills to deliver the Think Equal programme to the children in their care in conjunction with other Childminders and the Salford Library Service.

Course length:

Two hours in total, delivered in two sessions online sessions, each lasting one hour

Cost:

Free – Childminders will be able to use the Think Equal materials available exclusively for them in Salford Libraries to deliver the programme to the children in their care. They will also have free access to the online Think Equal Home Learning materials following their attendance on this course.
