This course will give an insight and understanding of the unique needs of two year old, their world, and how practitioners can support their learning and development in settings.

Outcomes:

• To explore typical stages of development, characteristics and needs of two year olds
• To understand the importance of forming secure attachments with 2 year olds to promote their well-being
• To review the importance of quality routines and a high quality environment to motivate and engage 2 year olds
• To identify ways in which practitioners can support and promote the learning and development for 2 year olds
