Assessment tools

There are a number of assessment tools that can be used within educational settings to help assess any additional needs a child or young person may have as well as helping to develop strategies which can be used to support SEND pupils in the setting.

This page has a range of assessment tools as well as which services you can refer to if you need further support.

A lot of resources and documents can be found on the previous Graduated Approach pages - this includes information about best practice Walkthrough, SEND support, EHCP's, good practice, training and person-centred approaches.

As a local authority, we do not endorse any one tool over another, the information on this page is to help SENDCO's and settings’ staff to find a range of tools for the 4 areas of need.
