The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is run jointly by the leaders of the ten councils and the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.

Alongside his role of representing the city of Salford at the GMCA, Paul Dennett is the Deputy Mayor for Greater Manchester and also the portfolio holder for Healthy Lives and Homelessness.
