Health services at Eccles Gateway

Eccles Gateway is not a walk in centre, most of the health service clinics held here are by appointment only. Patients are referred to these services from a variety of sources including doctors and other health professionals.

Audiology

Audiology is not a drop in or self referral service. New patients are accepted following a referral from a general practitioner and existing hearing aid users are seen by appointment only. The contact details for appointments and general audiology enquiries are:

Please be aware that the phone lines are very busy - Audiology apologise for the wait, however keep trying. Alternatively you can email Audiology directly and they will answer your queries.

Hearing aid batteries can be collected from the ground floor reception. Please bring your brown hearing aid record book with you.

The following services can be attended on a drop in basis or by self referral:

Community dental service

The community dental service provides specialised dental services to people living in Salford with complex needs who are unable to use general dental services. Patients may be referred to the service from a variety of sources including other dentists, doctors, other health and social care professionals and support workers.

Student placements within the service provide extensive opportunities of dental experience for dental students and dental nurses who can carry out routine dental work such as examinations, fillings and extractions but do not provide complex treatments.

You will need to already have a GP and come into the centre and register to find out if you are eligible for treatment by students. If your dental needs are not suitable for student treatment you will need to find a local NHS dentist.

The community dental service does not provide emergency dental treatment.
