The following services can be attended on a drop in basis or by self referral:

Community dental service

The community dental service provides specialised dental services to people living in Salford with complex needs who are unable to use general dental services. Patients may be referred to the service from a variety of sources including other dentists, doctors, other health and social care professionals and support workers.

The contact telephone number for Pendleton Gateway Community Dental Service is 0161 206 1513.

Student placements within the service provide extensive opportunities of dental experience for dental students and dental nurses who can carry out routine dental work such as examinations, fillings and extractions but do not provide complex treatments.

You will need to already have a GP and come into the centre and register to find out if you are eligible for treatment by students. If your dental needs are not suitable for student treatment you will need to find a local NHS dentist.

The community dental service does not provide emergency dental treatment.

The emergency podiatry clinic is held every Thursday from 1.30pm to 3pm for patients who have painful foot problems and are unable to wait for a routine appointment. If you feel you need to attend the emergency clinic please ring 0161 206 1072 before 11am on the day you wish to attend. This clinic can be busy and you may have to wait. Please report to the ground floor reception on arrival.

Salford Specialist Stop Smoking Service

The stop smoking advisors run a friendly drop in service every Monday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm. Alternatively you can book a one to one session at a time and place to suit you by calling 0800 952 1000.

If you need to contact one of the clinics or health services at the gateway please go to the Salford Royal website.
