Salford City Council is asking for your thoughts on the proposed refurbishment of the multi-use games area. You can give your views by completing the questionnaire below.

The deadline to complete the questionnaire is 12 June 2026.
The refurbished sports area will include dedicated facilities for football and basketball. A new access path will link the facilities to the main footpath through the park allowing level access to be provided for wheelchair users. Following the successful establishment of recent tree planting it is recommended a number of over-mature trees to the north of the sports area be removed to improve natural surveillance and the sight-lines into the sports area.
The park provides a number of great facilities for people of all ages to enjoy including bowling greens, football pitches, a multi-use games area, French boules and a children's play area for 4 to 14 year olds.
The Friends of Eccles Recreation Ground are also actively involved in the management of the park.
