The supported living service offers housing related support to people living in their own home or those trying to access accommodation.
The aim of the service is to enable people to live independently and to successfully maintain their accommodation.
The service we provide is completely free of charge and the type of support given will depend on you as an individual but could include:
To access support you should visit Housing Support Link, here you will find more information on how to apply, from which point you will be referred onto the supported tenancies service.
Once we receive your referral from the Housing Support Link and support needs are identified, a support assessment interview will be arranged. This interview, with a supported tenancy officer, is to obtain more information to allow us to assess your individual support needs. The support assessment interview will normally take place at an office close to where you live. However, based on your individual circumstances we can make other arrangements to suit you. This appointment can be up to 8pm.
Once the support assessment interview has been completed we will let you know what support we can offer and the next steps. You can also advise us if you feel you want to accept the support we can offer.
If we cannot offer support we will explain our decision and try to direct you to another support service that may be better placed to support and assist you.
All the information that is given to a supported tenancy officer is kept completely confidential in line with our service confidentiality statement.
