How will Salford Property Link advertise my property?

We work directly with people who are looking for good quality and affordable accommodation, we can match your property to suitable tenants. How much rent will I receive?

It depends on how big the property is, what area it’s in and which of our packages you choose. We’re happy to discuss your needs; please speak to one of our advisors to decide what suits you best.

Do you provide a rent guarantee scheme? If so, how long for?

Yes we do, depending on the package of support you choose. We’ll start by putting your property on the rent guarantee scheme for a maximum of 12 months and review it after that.

Will I need to provide anything for the property?

We will request the gas safety certificate, electric installation condition report and an energy performance certificate. Please see ‘what we expect from landlords’ for full details.

Will you need to complete an inspection of the property?

Yes, we will visit and inspect the property to make sure it meets the necessary criteria. We’ll work with you to find a convenient time and provide a full report.

What checks will you complete to make sure the tenant is suitable?

We carry out a suitability assessment to ensure that the applicant is suitable for the property. We can also help them with benefits advice and claims if necessary to ensure they meet the rent.

Do I need to inform my mortgage lender before I let my property?

Yes, you must have permission from your mortgage lender before you can let your property. If you are looking to buy a property to let you may be able to obtain a buy to let mortgage.

Do I get a designated contact I can keep in contact with?

You will have a designated Landlord Liaison Officer who will keep in touch with you. However, everyone in our team will also be on hand to help with any queries you may have. Just email or phone us.
