Hygiene Operative Days

Hours:

• Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm
• Week 2 - Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm
  

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Location: Irlam

Responsibilities will include:

• To clean equipment and facilities to the standards as set out by site and customer standards
• Ensuring all machine parts are in good condition when cleaning and reassembling.
• Dismantle and re-assemble the machine
• General Cleaning, some heavy lifting
• Emptying waste bins, bagging rubbish and making sure it is disposed of correctly into the skip
• Emptying cardboard using the compact machine
• Placing warning signs to alert people to potential hazards such as wet floors and spillages
• Ensuring cleaning products are stored correctly and safely.
• Clean down of machinery and production areas as per cleaning procedures.
• Ensure all chemicals are used as specified and within procedures outlined.

Preferred skills:

• Ability to work as part of a team and also unsupervised
• Attention to detail
• Will be able to meet the required quality and hygiene standards
• Can do attitude
• Initiative-taking and flexible
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Previous experience working with high pressure water and / or chemicals will be advantageous
• Basic knowledge of food safety
• Knowledge of COSHH
