Are you a young person in Salford looking for work or training?
If you are a young person who lives in Salford and is unemployed, you can access the Salford Employment Hub and receive direct support offered by Career Connect.
You will receive professional careers information, advice, guidance and coaching support if you are:
- aged 16 to 18 and not in education, employment or training, or have concerns about becoming unemployed
- a care leaver aged 16 to 25
- a young offender
- aged 16 to 25 and have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP)
You will receive support with:
- job searching
- interview preparation
- confidence building
- referrals and placements into employment, education or training
- support to overcome barriers to finding education, employment or training
- support with making decisions about your future

The Salford Employment hub is a service commissioned by Salford City Council and delivered through the following providers:
Career Connect provide the Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) service for young people and The Growth Company provide an adult-focused (18+) IAG and job brokerage service to residents who are aged 16+ and employers of Salford. These jobs are promoted by Salford Employment Hub to specifically help Salford residents into skills pathways and or sustainable employment opportunities.
