Traffic regulation order: Back Hilton Street and Wellington Street West

Salford City Council proposed to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

City of Salford (Back Hilton Street and Wellington Street West, Broughton) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce the following provisions:

No Waiting At Any Time:

Back Hilton Street 

  • Both sides, from the south-eastern extended kerbline of Wellington Street West, for 10m in a south-easterly direction.

Wellington Street West

  • South-east side, from the north-eastern extended kerbline of Back Hilton Street, for 10m in an easterly direction.
  • South-east side, from the south westerly extended kerbline of Back Hilton Street, for 15.3m in a south-westerly direction.

A copy of the Orders, the plans and the statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the above Orders will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the postal address below. 

Any person wishing to object should submit their grounds of objection in writing to:
