Proposed Raised Traffic Calming Features

Highways Act 1980 – Section 90 A and Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to construct a raised junction table in the length of road specified in the Schedule below. If no objections are received, the raised table will be constructed on the lengths of road as detailed in the schedule below after 20 April 2017.

  1. Raised junction table – 75mm high (+/- 15mm), and gradients no steeper than 1:15.

The extent of the raised junction table is as follows:

Barton Road

  • From a point ten metres north of its junction with the northerly kerbline of Farm Lane for a length of 50 metres in a south easterly direction.

Farm Lane

  • From its junction with the southerly kerbline of Barton Road, for a distance of nine metres in a south westerly direction.

A copy of the proposed order, a plan of the area and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
