Bradford Road, Eccles Road and Cavendish Road

Salford City Council proposes to make the following orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The titles and effect of the proposed orders will be as follows.

Proposed no waiting at any time on:

Bradford Road, Eccles

• South side, from north west extended kerbline of Cavendish Road for of 50m in north west direction.
• North side, from north west extended kerbline of Cavendish Road 250m in north west direction.
• South side, from a point 10m south east extended kerbline of Welbeck Road 110m in north west direction.

Cavendish Road, Eccles:

• Both sides, from south west extended kerbline of Bradford Road 20m in south west direction.

Welbeck Road, Eccles:

• Both sides, from south west extended kerbline of Bradford Road 10m in south west direction.

Godolphin Close, Eccles:

• Both sides, from north east extended kerbline of Bradford Road 10m in north east direction.

Proposed no waiting Monday to Friday 8.45am to 4.30pm

Cavendish Road, Eccles

• Both sides, from a point 20m SW extended kerbline of Bradford Road  30m in SW direction.

Salford City Council will exercise its powers under Sections 82 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called "the Act") and having consulted with the Chief Officer of Police for the County of Greater Manchester in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby makes the following order.

Proposed 20mph speed limit Zone for all vehicles on the following lengths of road for their entire length unless stated otherwise:

• Cavendish Road, from its junction with Ellesmere Road to its junction with Bradford Road, Welbeck Road, Bradford Road, Godolphin Close, Feversham Close, Tyersall Close, Apperley Grange and Merrydale Avenue.

Creation of cycle track

The following section of footway are to be converted to cycle tracks under Section 65(1) of the Highway Act 1980:

Bradford Road, Eccles:

• North east side, from north western extended kerbline of Welbeck Road for a distance of 39m in north westerly direction with a minimum width 2.5m.

Bradford Road, Eccles:

• South west side, from a point 10 m north western extended kerbline of Welbeck Road for a distance of 31.5m in north westerly direction with a minimum width 2.5m.

Bradford Road, Eccles:

• Both sides, from a point 62m north western extended kerbline of Welbeck Road for a distance of 10m in north westerly direction with a minimum width 2.5m.

Cavendish Road, Eccles:

• North east side, from its junction with Bradford Road for a distance of 11m in an easterly direction with a minimum width 2.5m.

Existing orders are to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals.

Any reference in this order to any road, street and or other location shall be construed to the name herein and any subsequent name thereafter.

Copies of the proposed orders together with the plans and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the orders may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Mondays to Fridays (due to the COVID-19 restrictions please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending).

• Cavendish Road, Eccles, Both sides, from a point 20 metres south western extended kerbline of Bradford Road for a distance of 30 metres in south westerly direction.

• Bradford Road, Eccles, South side, from north western extended kerbline of Cavendish Road for a distance of 50 metres in north westerly direction.
• Bradford Road, Eccles, North side, from north western extended kerbline of Cavendish Road for a distance of 250 metres in north westerly direction.
• Bradford Road, Eccles, South side, from a point 10 metres south eastern extended kerbline of Welbeck Road for a distance of 110 metres in north westerly direction.
• Cavendish Road, Eccles, Both sides, from south western extended kerbline of Bradford Road for a distance of 20 metres in south westerly direction.
• Welbeck Road, Eccles, Both sides, from south western extended kerbline of Bradford Road for a distance of 10 metres in south westerly direction.
• Godolphin Close, Eccles, Both sides, from north eastern extended kerbline of Bradford Road for a distance of 10 metres in north easterly direction.
