City of Salford (Broadway) (No Loading/Unloading) Order 2022
Salford City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police for the County of Greater Manchester in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following order:
Broadway: Both sides from a point 22.3m east of the eastern extended kerb line of White Road, in an easterly direction for 44m
As part of the new development of Plot D3 on the south side of Broadway just east of White Road, it has been identified that there is a need for no loading at any time restrictions on Broadway adjacent to a new residential development to discourage inappropriate loading and unloading or stopping on this busy stretch of road.
The no loading/unloading restrictions would discourage inappropriate parking by delivery vehicles, disabled drivers or taxis etc, on this busy stretch of highway, which would disrupt traffic flows and cause congestion, leading to driver frustration.
It is therefore proposed to introduce 'No loading at any time' on both sides of the road for the full section of Broadway between the existing controlled pedestrian crossing and the traffic signals at junction with White Road (side) street.
