Broom Street, Beech Street and Odgen Street

Salford City Council proposes to make the following orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The title and effect of the orders is as follows:

Residents parking places - Broom Street, Beech Street and Ogden Street

Residents parking areas for permit holders only operative from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday on:

  • Beech Street from Chorley Road to and including its cul-de-sac end
  • Broom Street from Chorley Road to its junction with Ogden Street
  • Ogden Street from Broom Street to and including its cul-de-sac end
  • Ogden Street from Beech Street to and including its cul-de-sac end.

Schedule

Properties eligible for issue of resident’s parking permit (Swinton zone B)

  • Broom Street - all properties
  • Beech Street - all properties
  • Ogden Street - property numbers 8 to 34 (even numbers) and property numbers 9 to 33 (odd numbers)

Residents parking permits

  • Residents will be able to apply for permits for all vehicles registered to that address.

Business parking permits

  • Residents that use a property as business premises will be eligible to apply for four business permits per each business.

Visitor’s parking permit charges

  • Residents will be able to apply for one visitor’s parking permit.

Carer’s parking permit

  • Residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit.

Eligibility for parking permits

  • Residents at all the streets/properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit.

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 8 April 2019 (quoting ref L/TG/OUT1093/617).
