Cleminson Street area

Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order will be as follows:

  • Both sides from east extended kerbline of Adelphi Street for a distance of 15m in an easterly direction
  • Both sides from a point 90.5m east extended kerbline of Adelphi Street to its junction with Great George Street
  • North side from east kerbline of Great George Street for a distance of 9m in an easterly direction
  • South side, from east extended kerbline of Great George Street to its junction with St Stephen Street in an easterly direction
  • North side from a point 99m east extended kerbline of Great George Street for a distance of 30m in an easterly direction
  • North side from a point 189m east extended kerbline of Great George Street for a distance of 15m in an easterly direction

  • South side, from east of east extended kerbline of the Wilton Place for a distance of 5m in an easterly direction

  • West side, from its junction with Bank Street to its junction with Bank Place in a northerly direction
  • East side from north kerbline of Bank Street for a distance of 10m in a northerly direction

  • North side, from its junction with the westerly projected kerbline of Great George Street to its junction with Wilton Place in a westerly direction

Eligibility for residents parking permits

Residents and businesses at all properties in Encombe Place 6 to 12 (even numbered properties); 1 to 11 (odd numbered properties);
15 to 35 (odd numbered properties) who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents’ parking permit at a cost of £50 per annum.

Residents at all aforesaid properties who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit.

Carer’s parking permit

Residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit. Please contact the council for further information.

Existing orders are to be revoked or amended so as to be consistent with the proposals.

A copy of the proposed orders together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 9am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 9 March 2020 (quoting ref L/PSH/OUT1093/790).
