Dronfield Road area

Salford City Council intends to make the following order under Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The purpose of the order shall be to:

Prohibit any person from driving any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20mph

On the following roads from their junction with Doveleys Road to their junction with Dronfield Road: 

  • Manor Road
  • Caldy Road
  • Longmead Road
  • Trenant Road
  • Denstone Road
  • Fairfield Avenue; and

On the following roads for their entire length:

  • Halstead Avenue
  • Peacock Avenue
  • Dronfield Road
  • Carlton Road
  • Beech Grove
  • Beech Avenue
  • Barrfield Road

The effect of the proposed orders will be to introduce the following provisions:

No waiting at any time on:

Dronfield Road north west side

  • 10m south of the south west extended kerbline of Caldy Road to 10m north of the north east extended kerbline of Caldy Road in a north east direction
  • 10m south of the south west extended kerbline of Longmead Road to 10m north of north east extended kerbline of Longmead Road in a north east direction
  • 10m south of the south west extended kerbline of Trenant Road to 10m north of north east extended kerbline of Trenant Road in a north east direction; and
  • 10m south of the south west extended kerbline of Denstone Road to 10m north of north east extended kerbline of Denstone Road in a north east direction.

Caldy Road

  • Both sides, from north west extended kerbline of Dronfield Road for 10m in a north west direction.

Longmead Road

  • Both sides, from north west extended kerbline of Dronfield Road for 10m in a north west direction.

Trenant Road

  • Both sides north west extended kerbline of Dronfield Road for 10m in a north west direction.

Denstone Road

  • Both sides from north west extended kerbline of Dronfield Road for 10m in a north west direction.

Prohibition of waiting Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on:

Dronfield Road

  • South east side from 10m south of the south west extended kerbline of Trenant Road for 26.6m in a north east directiom; and
  • South east side from 51.91m north of the north east opposite extended kerbline of Trenant Road for 22.8m in a north east direction.

No stopping on school markings entrance Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on:

Dronfield Road

  • South east side from 8.35m north of the north east opposite extended kerbline of Trenant Road for 43.56m in a north east direction.

Existing orders are to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals.

Copies of the proposed orders together with the plans and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the orders may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays (due to the COVID-19 restrictions please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending).
