Eccles Old Road and Gilda Brook Road

Salford City Council proposed to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

City of Salford (Eccles Old Road and Gilda Brook Road, Salford) (Prohibition of Waiting and Revocation) Order 2025

The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce the following provisions:

No Waiting At Any Time on: 

Eccles Old Road

• South and south-east side from its junction with Park Place to its junction with the south-westerly projected kerbline of Edgehill Road.

It is also proposed to amend The City Of Salford (A576 Eccles Old Road, Salford) (Reserved Bus Lane) Order 1998 by the deletion of the following lengths of Bus Lane routes:

A576 Gildabrook Road

• Eastbound between Wellington Road and Half Edge Lane.

A576 Eccles Old Road

• Eastbound between Wellington Road and Half Edge Lane. 
• Eastbound between Half Edge Lane and Stott Lane.
• Eastbound between Lancaster Road and Tootal Drive. 
• Eastbound between Tootal Drive and Weaste Lane. 
• Westbound from Weaste Lane to Tootal Drive. 
• Westbound between Tootal Drive and Lancaster Road. 
• Westbound between Stott Lane and Devonshire Road.

Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. 
 
A copy of the Order, a plan and the statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the above Order will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
